KaKeesha is also the creator of #breakingstatistics, a community platform that teaches, inspires and empowers mothers to break the cycle of poverty by tapping into available resources and utilizing the tools around them.

KaKeesha Branigan is the Marketing and Public Relations coordinator for Volkert, Inc, an Infrastructure based engineering firm. She has been employed with Volkert, Inc. since 2016. There, she is a part of a team responsible for marketing efforts for office locations in Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois and Missouri. Part of her role is the creation and submission of marketing proposals for private and public sector clients within Volkert’s West Central region. She also prepares marketing materials for the various offices within the regions, coordinates regional and local company events from team building to community involvement. KaKeesha also formulates company and regional articles and event write-ups to be shared across Volkert’s social media platforms. In her role as a Public Relations Coordinator, she is the lead person for researching, attending and presenting at industry wide networking events, as well as job and career fairs. She is the prime contact for community events and media relations for the West Central region.

 She received an Associate of Arts Degree in Paralegal Studies from Southwestern Illinois College in 2015 and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Corporate Emphasis from Lindenwood University in 2018. KaKeesha is also the creator of #breakingstatistics, a community platform that teaches, inspires and empowers single mothers to break the cycle of poverty by tapping into available resources and utilizing the tools around them. She provides her life knowledge of how to make small positive life changes that lead to bigger ones.  She is a true creative by nature as she is also the owner of Mystique Salon and Spa where she spends her weekends providing hair care for men, women and children. When she is not working or engulfed in the joy of being a mother to seven children, she enjoys volunteering in the community with organizations such as Public Relations Society of America – St. Louis Chapter where she is serves on the board as Programming Chair,  Junior Achievement of Greater St. Louis  and at Living the Word Church where she has been a member since 2009 and serves in multiple ministries. She also enjoys reading, singing, crafting, cooking and all things DIY.
